Today, the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of country’s Government Emomali Rahmon.

The President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the First Vice President of Export-Import Bank of the People’s Republic of China Zhu Hongjie in the second half of day.

The issues of bilateral cooperation have been discussed at the meeting.

Today in the second half of the day a telephone talk has been held between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of Russian Federation Dmitriy Medvedev at the initiative of the Russian side.

The heads of states discussed a range of issues of bilateral relations of their countries and prospects of their further development in various spheres of cooperation.

The parties also exchanged views on situation in the world and the region.

Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon signed a decree on granting money awards to the Tajik sportsmen, who will win the first, second and third places in the 30th Olympic Games (London-2012).

According to decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan a sum of 300 thousand Somoni will be determined for one winner of gold medal, 250 thousand Somoni of award for a winner of silver medal and 200 thousand Somoni for bronze.

President of the country Emomali Rahmon held a celebration meeting with the leadership of security, defence and law enforcement agencies on the eve of marking the 19th anniversary of establishment of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan.

The President of the country Emomali Rahmon heard the accounts of the republican and local officials on the recent consequences of excessive precipitations of snow and rain, as well as gave specific instructions on realization of timely measures.

President of the country Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting on the social protection of population, including timely pension provision.

The course of fulfillment of assignments of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on stabilization of Population Social Protection Fund, study of system for award of pension to the disabled persons and timely pension payment have been considered at the meeting.

The Head of state Emomali Rahmon stressed that ensuring social justice is among the very important tasks in this sphere.

President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the World Bank Director for Strategy and Operations in Europe Theodore Ahlers and the newly appointed World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Saroj Kumar Jha.

During the talks continuous support of the World Bank towards the socio-economic development of Tajikistan was noted with satisfaction.

President of the country Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting on the course of winterization, preparations for spring sowing and expansion of improvement and beautification works.

The reports of the Dushanbe city Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaydulloev, heads of relevant ministries and departments, and other officials had been heard on this and other subjects of interest at the beginning of the meeting.

President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the anniversary of Islamic revolution celebration.
