This morning, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has arrived in Vahdat city to get familiarized with the situation of the population and to open a number of social and industrial facilities and launch the construction of a number of other objects.

Working visit to Vahdat city began with the opening of a recently remodeled road Vahdat-Faizobod.

It should be recalled that the road in the city center Vahdat crosses the street Somoniyon and its traffic is one-way. Now, after reconstruction, on behalf of President of the country Emomali Rahmon, the road has 4 lanes in two directions of motion. The total length of the reconstructed and expanded highway is 1300 meters, for the construction of which the city budget allocated 4 million 800 thousand Somoni.

In general, over the last two years from the city budget for repairs and asphalting of local roads, lighting of the main streets of the city and other improvement works were allocated more than 12 million 100 thousand Somoni.

Now, the reconstruction of roads and streets, bringing them into line with international standards contributed to the radical improvement of the movement of residents in the city of Vahdat and in capital and other cities and districts of the republic.

Prior to the opening of two-way road, traffic jams occurred on the street Firdavsi of Vahdat city, making it difficult for motorists and pedestrians.
