Participation in the military parade on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War II

This morning, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part in the military parade on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, which took place in the city center of Beijing.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and other heads of state at the Tiananmen Square were welcomed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The parade was attended by heads of 25 countries, and senior representatives from Regional and International Organizations.

Before the beginning of ceremony took place photographing, and after that Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and other heads of state, inviting them to the government platform, located on Tiananmen Square, to observe the parade.

Before the beginning of the military parade, Chinese President Xi Jinping made a speech, and congratulated the participants and the people of China on the 70th anniversary of  the end of the World War II.

In the military parade participated units of seven military regions, Navy, Air Force, People's Police in China for the first time - the second land army veterans, who participated in the war.

 At the military parade for the first time took part the military units from Tajikistan, Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Republic of Tajikistan on these celebrations was represented by Commandant of the Regiment of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan led by Colonel Ilhom Makhsumov.

History shows that the sons of the Tajik people were also many examples of heroism for the victory in World War II. That is why solidarity of the Tajik soldiers, along with representatives from China and other countries in the world, took an active part in the military parade.
