President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Special Envoy of the President of People’s Republic of China, Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of National People’s Congress Chen Zhili.

The Head of state Emomali Rahmon determined the visit of high-ranking representative of the People’s Republic of China on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and China as an evidence of high level of friendly relations and beneficial cooperation between the two good neighbor countries.

Chen Zhili also called the relations of both countries as having friendly, good-neighborly and multidimensional cooperation and partnership character, and highlighted that the People’s Republic of China further will support the strengthening comprehensive independence of Tajikistan.

A constructive exchange of views was held on ways of development of political, trade-economic, investment and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and China.

The volume of goods turnover between Tajikistan and China in 2011, that compared to the first years of diplomatic relations between the two countries has increased for 600 times, was noted with satisfaction.
