President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the anniversary of Islamic revolution celebration.

The telegram reads, in part:

“The honourable historical past, joint cultural, language, racial and religious bonds are among the most important factors that put Tajikistan and Iran in one civilized basin and ensure necessary conditions for more integration.

In this context, the results of your official visit to Tajikistan at the beginning of September last year and new agreements reached at the high-level meetings demonstrate the beginning of a new stage of expansion of broad relations between our countries.

With hope for bolstering up kind relationships and reiterating my congratulation I wish to you, Your Excellency, health and success, and to the people of Iran security, stability, happiness, and prosperity.”
