Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting on improvement and beautification works, spring sowing and preparation for the International Day of Nawruz.

At the beginning, the functionaries of country’s Government, Presidential Executive Office and heads of other relevant structures briefed the President on the mentioned and other subjects of interest.

It was noted that nowadays spring sowing of crops and planting assumed wide scope by taking advantage of favourable sunny days in all cities and districts of the country, except mountainous areas.

In connection with preparation for International Nawruz it was also noted that the heads and high-ranking representatives of a number of countries celebrating this happy holiday will attend it.

President Emomali Rahmon gave specific instructions to the officials regarding expansion of seasonal agricultural works, support of farmers and gardeners, improvement and beautification activities, and adequate preparation for celebration of International Nawruz in Tajikistan.

Moreover, it was stressed that prevention of consequences and outcomes of natural disasters, such as danger of landslides and avalanches, floods resulting from the thawing of countless resources of current year’s snow and mud flows and hails, requires considerable preparation.
