This evening, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended and spoke at the informal meeting of Heads of State - members of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), the SCO and the Eurasian Economic Union, on the theme "Ways to improve the welfare of our peoples" in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that the heads of the members of these three organizations for the first time gathered at the same time in one place.

President Emomali Rahmon in his speech drew attention to the global problems and obstacles that hinder socio - economic development and a decent standard of life of the people. Rahmon, in particular, noted that the main obstacle on this path is deep food, energy, financial and economic crises and global warming.

Emomali Rahmon, among the main conditions of the global sustainable development, called the creation of renewable energy sources, in particular hydropower facilities, development of safe economy in terms of ecology, i.e. green economy, as well as the smooth functioning of transport networks, national and regional transportation.

According to Emomali Rahmon, for the countries that do not have direct access to the sea it is very difficult to achieve the goal of sustainable economic development. In this regard, it was stressed that the support of the efforts of these countries in terms of creating a modern national and regional infrastructure for transportation, diversifying the economy and international relations should be among the main priorities.
