In the evening, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with representatives of Tajik communities and migrant workers living in the Urals, the Volga region and Siberia of Russian Federation.
The meeting with the Head of State was attended by more than 150 compatriots, including 50 Tajik students studying in institutions of higher education of the abovementioned regions of Russia.
President Emomali Rahmon in his speech recalled the development of Tajikistan in recent years and continued progress in the cooperation relations with the Russian Federation, and encouraged our compatriots in a decent idea of high culture of Tajiks, matching the behavior, the development of modern knowledge and qualifications that meet the requirements of our time, especially, to be vigilant, not to succumb to the propaganda and agitation of extremist ideas of destructive forces acting on behalf of Islam.
President Emomali Rahmon urged the leaders and activists of the Tajik community in Russia to be active in preventing the involvement of young Tajiks to the tricks and deception of missionaries of ISIS. It was stressed that parents, brothers and sisters should be aware of the psychological state and behavior of their loved ones, colleagues, and to prevent confusion of uninformed persons.
It was mentioned with satisfaction that today in major cities and regions of Russia operate cultural centers and Tajik communities, whose number reaches 80.
