The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach and chairman of the Olympic Council of Asia Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.

The meeting discussed issues related to the development of the Olympic movement in Tajikistan, widespread propaganda of the population, especially the youth and adolescents for a healthy lifestyle.

President Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the International Olympic Committee and Olympic Council of Asia for a worthy contribution to the development of the Olympic movement in Tajikistan.

However, it was pointed out that there are a number of untapped resources and opportunities to further expand cooperation and achieve more desirable results in Tajikistan.

A conversation was also held on ways to build in Tajikistan Olympic Training Center. It was noted that at the first stage it is expedient to build five such centers in different parts of the country.
