At the meeting, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Annageldy Yazmuradov on which were discussed issues of further development of cooperation between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to the effective interaction between the two countries in trade and economic sphere, transport, freight transportation, water, energy, education and culture.

It was stressed that effective implementation of the signed documents between the two countries and resolutions of the Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation should make more efforts.

They expressed confidence that the implementation of the railway project Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan will lead relations between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.

The parties expressed their strong interest in further expansion of mutually beneficial multifaceted cooperation.
