Today, a gala concert dedicated to the Day of "Shashmaqom" was held with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon at the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Sadriddin Aini.

The festive concert was performed by the artists of the State ensemble Shashmaqom named after Fazliddin Shahobov, Falak State ensemble, dance groups Gulrez, Lola, Tajik State Philharmonic Society named after Akasharif Juraev, other leaders of the Tajik art and demonstrated the consistent development of high national music genre over the years of independence of Tajikistan.

It should be noted that Shashmaqom, after the international organization UNESCO included it in its list as a masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of the world, along with Navruz, received international status.

President Emomali Rahmon, who inspired the masters of art with his presence at a concert, at the end of the cultural program praised the skill of the performers, as well as gave instructions and recommendations for further development and improvement of Shashmaqom, selection and training of promising young cadres of the sphere, who are proud of national culture of Tajikistan.
