May 9, on the Red Square in Moscow, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon watched a military parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism.
On this occasion, the heads of state and government from more than 30 countries arrived in Moscow.
Distinguished guests were welcomed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Heads of State, Government and delegations went to the podium, and first of all congratulated over 2 thousand war veterans gathered from around the world.
The grand military parade on the occasion of this significant date was attended by over 16 thousand soldiers and officers of the Russian Federation and many other countries. Among them, also took part parade detachment of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan. It was recalled that in the great war against Nazism have contributed more than 300 thousand sons of Tajikistan, about 100,000 of whom gave their lives for the sake of victory and ensuring peace for future generations. Over 60 of them were awarded the title "Hero of the Soviet Union". At the military parade in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory was presented a large number of modern military equipment, including aircrafts. This parade has become the largest event of its kind in the modern history of the Russian Federation.
