Wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory Park

Today, with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon in the capital Victory Park in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory over Nazism took place a ceremony of laying wreaths to the memorial flame.

President Emomali Rahmon in his speech, called the Second World War among the "most tragic wars" in the history of mankind, and congratulated all veterans of war and labor, all peace-loving people of our beloved country, who bravely survived in the fierce battles of the war, who made a significant contribution to the ensuring the victory over fascism and wished every Tajik family peaceful sky, peace, prosperity, health and happiness.

It was noted that more than 300 thousand envoys of Tajikistan showed feats and courage in the fierce fighting, 92 thousand of them died on the battlefields of fulfilling their filial duty.

The ceremony of commemoration of victims of war continued by a military parade of units and the Dushanbe garrison. The military parade was attended by officers and soldiers of the military units of the country, including the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Border Troops of the National Security Committee, the National Guard of Tajikistan, the Main Department of execution of criminal sanctions of the Ministry of Justice, the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, and the military unit of 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan.
