President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran doctor Hassan Ruhani, which reads, in particular:

"Your Excellency,

I am glad to sincerely congratulate You, Your Excellency, as well as the friendly and brotherly people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran have always occupied an important place for the Republic of Tajikistan. We believe that the strengthening and expansion of multifaceted cooperation with Iran, based on a common language, culture and historical traditions of friendship and fraternity among the peoples of the two countries meet higher mutual interests, regional security and stability, and we are optimistic about the future of this cooperation.

Tajikistan has always advocated improving its bilateral relations with Iran in trade-economic, cultural and political spheres, and I am convinced that our countries, thanks to their joint efforts, will achieve the desired results.

We are determined to continue mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran, to further expand and give new impetus to fraternal relations".
