On the eve of the New Year 2015, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon congratulated the people of Tajikistan and all compatriots living abroad on this joyful occasion and wished every Tajik family health, happiness, well-being, success and new achievements.

President of Tajikistan stressed that thanks to the lasting peace, tranquility, political stability, national unity and conscientious labor of the residents of the country in 2014, constructive works have gained a new impetus in the country, creative initiatives of the state and Government, of proud and honest entrepreneurs of Tajikistan have been continued.

It was further said that despite the negative impact of crisis factors, in 2014 stable development of economy of the country has been ensured, reforms and modernization in the sector of investment, spheres of industry and agriculture, science and education, culture and healthcare, and other areas of life of the society are being continued, mutually beneficial relations of Tajikistan with various countries of the world have further expanded.

SCO Summit, commemoration of 600th anniversary of Mavlono Abdurahmoni Jomi, celebration of the 20th anniversary of adoption of the Constitution of Tajikistan were named among the momentous events in 2014.

It was also highlighted that several political and cultural events are in the agenda of 2015, namely holding of the elections of deputies of the Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli and local assemblies of people's deputies, commemoration of 700th anniversary of Mir Said Ali Hamadoni and 3000th anniversary of Hissor.
