At the meeting with President of China National Metallurgical and Mining Company Luo Tao the issues related to geological-exploratory works and extraction of gold at the Pokrud deposit of Tajikistan have been discussed.

As it was noted, this company is one of the biggest companies of the world in this sphere, present in more than 30 areas of China and over 10 countries abroad, dealing with extraction of 40 sorts of precious and rare metals.

This company plans to invest over 250 mln. USD and create over 100 jobs for geological-exploratory works and extraction of gold from Pokrud deposit of Tajikistan. According to preliminary plan, the extraction of gold from this deposit should begin in 2015 and at the first phase this company will annually pay more than 6 mln. USD of taxes to the budget of Tajikistan.

The management of the company also intends to take part in the implementation of social projects of Tajikistan, including construction of schools and hospitals.
