Participation at the solemn meeting on the occasion of the state language and the 600th anniversary of Mavolono Jomi

Today, a solemn meeting on the occasion of the state language and 600th anniversary of Abdurahmoni Jomi took place in the grand hall of the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after S.Aini with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon.
On the occasion of important holidays the hall brought together leaders and representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies, scientists, artists and intellectuals of the country.
President Emomali Rahmon at the outset sincerely congratulated all citizens of Tajikistan and those present on these important holidays, noting with satisfaction that the people of our country "celebrates the Day of Language and the 600th anniversary of Abdurahmoni Jomi with a sense of pride from the cultural values and national shrines".
In the course of his speech, President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that language is the expression of the historical fate of the Tajik people and it gained eternal connection with the independence of our country, it has been throughout the history of our nation considered one of the arenas of struggle for freedom, independence and patriotism.
President of the country, along with the state language, called "demand of the time" the study of foreign languages, especially English and Russian languages, and instructed the younger generation and all citizens to deeper study of foreign languages.
