Today, President Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Anifah Haji Aman.
The sides discussed the issues related to friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries. Much attention was paid to the ways of fruitful implementation of bilateral documents and beneficial arrangements reached during the state visit of the President of Tajikistan to Malaysia in June current year.
The necessity of soonest establishment of intergovernmental cooperation commission and its activation, as well as setting up inter-parliamentary and inter-sectoral ties was stressed.
The education of a great number of Tajik students in Malaysia was highlighted with satisfaction over the beneficial cooperation of the two countries in the sphere of education, and it was considered important to expand such experience.
The necessity of development of cooperation in the tourism sector and other promising spheres was also underlined.
