Today, President Emomali Rahmon received the UN Resident Coordinator, Permanent Representative of UNDP in Tajikistan Alexander Zuev.
The issues of wide-ranging cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations, including on the support of socio-economic development of our country, have been discussed at the meeting.
A.Zuev reported on the results of cooperation in 2013 and plans for the current year and informed in particular that the construction of innovative laboratory of infectious diseases and three tuberculosis clinics in different cities and districts, implementation of important projects in the sphere of education and continuation of demining and clearing other explosive substances, which have remained in separate corners of Tajikistan from the period of internal conflicts, are among the main results of cooperation of UN institutions with Tajikistan.
