Working visit to Khujand city of Sughd Region

This morning President Emomali Rahmon arrived in Sughd Region for a working visit.

The working trip began from Khujand city, administrative center of Sughd Region. At first National Flag of Tajikistan with the height of its flagpole at 55 m. was launched in Khujand with the participation of the head of state. The surroundings of the flagpole is decorated with christianite (red granite) and beautiful fountains.

As it was noted, the construction of flagpole and beautification of its surroundings costed 3,5 million TJS. The length and width of the flag itself is 7x14 m.

On the same day, the opening of educational and production center of handicrafts carpet weaving and gold embroidery “Sheroz” for 1000 workers, an enterprise for milk processing and production of dairy products with 50 workers, and four-star hotel “Khujand Deluxe” with 46 rooms have been held with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon. 

Head of state Emomali Rahmon also officially launched the complete renovation of automobile road at Sirdaryo Street of Khujand city.

As it was mentioned, only in 2013, 30 km of automobile roads of Khujand city have been renovated. In 2014 the renovation of 116 km of domestic roads of Khujand is on the schedule.
