Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon visited the site of construction of a new heating and electricity station of Dushanbe and commissioned its first queue with the capacity of 50 MWt/h of electricity power.
Officials and specialists of Tajikistan and China, who are collectively occupied with the construction and equipment of this new heating and electricity station of Dushanbe, have welcomed head of state Emomali Rahmon.
The production capacity of the first queue of the station is equal to 1 million and 250 thousand kilowatt/hour of electricity power.
The most important advantage of this station for the present-day conditions in Tajikistan that does not have its own natural gas and opportunity to import it from abroad is that it works on coal.
The second queue which will increase the capacity of the station to 100 megawatt/hour of electricity power will be launched in April 2014, namely 6 months before the planned dates.
Beginning from winter of next year, this station will provide more than 40% of multistoried buildings of the capital with heating.
Over 178 million USD of funds of Tajikistan and China are to be directed at the complete construction and equipment of this station.
