Today in Dushanbe a new building of Public Institution “National Testing Center” (NTC) was opened with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon. Head of state Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the work of NTC, met with management of the Ministry of Education and Science and rectors of higher education institutions of the country, as well as considered the issues of fight against corruption and other undesired acts in the sphere.
Head of state Emomali Rahmon came to northern part of Rudaki avenue of Dushanbe and opened a new building of National Testing Center which is located in front of the Cultural and Recreation Park named after Ayni.
As it was noted, this three-floor building which consists of two parts has been constructed and equipped with modern necessary equipment and technologies at the expense of over 8 million 300 thousand Somoni of grant funds of the World Bank.
The main purpose of the establishment of National Testing Center with its headquarters and regional offices is to set up just, honest and transparent conducting of exams for admission to the professional higher education institutions.
With the view of ensuring safety related to the organization and conducting of centralized admission tests for entering higher education institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan, the access to the NTC building is set up through the plastic cards. 74 cameras have been installed in all rooms and main corridors through which all process of activities of the National Testing Center is supervised.
The structure of NTC is composed of the main department, 11 divisions, 1 section and 4 regional offices (in Dushanbe, Khujand, Kurgantube and Khorugh).
President Emomali Rahmon during the talks and his speech in the presence of heads of higher education institutions of the country named the beginning of activities of NTC and a new system of conducting admission tests as “an important step in the reforms of educational sphere” and stressed that “in the future all sorts of exams in all higher education institutions should be established electronically and transparently”.
Head of state gave specific instructions to the management of the Ministry of Education and Science and higher education institutions of the republic on the enhancement of quality of training and education, strengthening of discipline and prevention of corruption and cheating during the admission exams and tests.
