Today, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon left for Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region to get familiarized with living standards of population and give impetus to socio-economic and cultural development of this remote mountainous area.
Head of state’s visit began from Vanj district. Here at first a small HPP with capacity of 800 kilowatt/hour was commissioned, which has been constructed at the expense of 7 million 126 thousand somoni by local entrepreneurs.
In the center of Vanj district a sports hall with 300 seats has been put into operation, which has been constructed in 3 months at the expense of 2,5 million somoni.
At the central cultural and recreation park of Vanj President held a meeting with leaders, activists and numerous representatives of population of the district, during which achievements of the district during the past years, particularly 9 months of current year have been examined, and concrete tasks have been defined for its further development.
