At the meeting with Deputy Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt Wael Khayri the issues of multidimensional cooperation between the two countries.

Wael Khayri named the recognition of the proposal of Tajikistan on announcement of 2013 as the International Year of Water Cooperation as an evidence of enhancement of authority of the country in the world arena, and highly commended the level of preparation and holding of the International High-Level Conference on Water Cooperation. 

During the talks, also the current situation and its prospects in Egypt after the turbulent events in this country have been discussed. It was expressed belief that the political life of the country will rapidly become stabilized, and existing disputes will be addressed in peaceful and legitimate ways.

It was expressed interest in further expansion of friendly ties and beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Egypt.
