President Emomali Rahmon also got closely familiarized with the activities of other well-known plant, which had a large contribution to the construction of the Norak hydroelectric power plant and other hydropower facilities in Tajikistan, namely experimental and mechanical plant of Norak.
It has been reported that this plant, which suspended all its activities, was purchased and re-launched by local businessmen in 2006. At the plant, based on the volume of production operations and customer requirements, from 80 to 150 people are employed. Now, it provides 115 permanent jobs to skilled workers.
In various workshops of the plant production of construction materials from metal and iron wire, including nets for bank protection and wall-construction, iron gratings, metal structures for the construction of various buildings, large hydraulic structures and strengthening of brims of the roads in mountainous regions of the country is being carried out.
