In Al-Kuwait city – the capital of the State of Kuwait the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended and spoke at the Business Forum between Tajikistan and Kuwait that has been held with the participation of more than 150 people from both sides.
On behalf of the leadership of the State of Kuwait Chief Advisor of Cabinet of Emir Abdullah Alma’tuk and First Deputy Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khaled Abdullah Assaqr have attended the forum.
Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon during his speech stated in particular: “It should be acknowledged that the level and content of trade and economic cooperation and the process of investment still do not meet current opportunities and needs, as well as national interests of the two countries and we should create qualitatively new level and content of bilateral multidimensional cooperation”.
President of the country Emomali Rahmon immediately presented wide and favorable opportunities of economic, trade and investment cooperation within the developing economy of Tajikistan and stimulated the authoritative Kuwaiti businessmen and investors for establishment of mutually beneficial ties with our country”.
Following the forum a Cooperation Protocol has been signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait.
As it was discovered, Kuwaiti businessmen and investors express interest in the areas of hydropower, agriculture, mining industry, tourism and other spheres of Tajikistan’s economy.
