The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has sent a condolences telegram to the Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, which reads, in particular:

“Your Excellency,

It was with great grievance that I found the news about the death of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Chavez.

Commandante Chavez was among the most well-known figures of the international life of recent years. He greatly served for his country, protection and strengthening of Venezuela’s independence, improvement of population’s life and international relations of his homeland. In this regard, he will remain eternally in the hearts of millions of persons, who recognized and knew him as a fighter in the path to freedom and independence of his homeland.

Please, extend my most sincere condolences and sympathy to the whole people of Venezuela”.
