In the afternoon the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia Patricia Flor.

A wide range of issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union, including in the spheres of policy, security, trade and economy, investment, social areas and development of civil community have been discussed at the meeting.

It was expressed satisfaction over the enhancement of political relationship between Tajikistan and the European Union, increase of mutual trade turnover and other fruitful ties noticed during the recent years.

The head of Tajik state supported the intention of the European Union to work out a new Strategy for Central Asia for 2014-2020 and to establish a mechanism "Security dialogue" in its framework.
