The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has addressed a congratulatory message to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 20^th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which reads, in part:

“Today, in continuation of good traditions of friendly relations and mutual respect between our peoples, which have deep historical roots, the relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan are developing with high dynamics.

In political relationship between our countries a regular dialogue has been set up on the basis of principles of openness, confidence and mutual assistance.

As a principal element of contemporary interstate relations the economic cooperation established between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan is regularly developing and strengthening relations in the cultural and humanitarian spheres”.
