The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent to the President of the United States of America Barack Husseyn Obama a letter of condolences, which reads, in particular:

“Dear Mr. President,

It is with deep grievance that I found the news about the death of 27 schoolchildren in the elementary school in Connecticut caused by a criminal.

This tragic news has once again proved that the whole world community should unite in the fight against the phenomena of violence and violation of human rights, upon which the right to life is one of the most important elements.

Please convey my most sincere sympathy and the sympathy of the people of Tajikistan and the Government of the country to the families of the victims”.
