Meeting with Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev

Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev, who has arrived in Dushanbe to attend the joint meeting of board of the ministries of internal affairs of Tajikistan and Russia.  

The issues of cooperation of both states have been considered in fight against transnational organized crimes, including those crimes, that are being committed on the basis of terrorism, extremism and illegal drug trafficking.

The Head of State Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction with an effective interaction of law enforcement bodies of both countries in prevention and detection of various crimes, as well as capture of dangerous special criminals. Moreover, he stressed that the fruitful ties between the ministries of international affairs of the two countries should be enhanced in the area of operational information exchange, training and professional development of personnel and rendering technical assistance.

It was expressed confidence that during the joint meeting of the board of ministries of internal affairs of Tajikistan and Russia relevant decisions will be adopted concerning the ways to strengthen cooperation and to enhance its effectiveness.
