In order to fulfill the instructions arisen from the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, "On Major Dimensions of Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan", the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan "On declaring 2024 as the "Year of Legal Education" dated December 30, 2023, No. 668 was adopted.

The purpose of adopting this decree is to increase the level of legal education of citizens, promote democratic values, strengthen the institution of human rights, respect for it, raise the status of the law, educate citizens in a spirit of respect for it and ensure the rule of law, form a stable system of legal behavior, intransigence with respect to any violation of law and the inevitability of legal responsibility, coordination of activities of all subjects of legal promotion and encouragement, organization of an effective mechanism of cooperation between the state and civil society institutions in the direction of legal education of citizens.

Completion of the mentioned measures will ensure the supreme value of human, his rights and freedoms, respect and compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, laws and other normative legal acts, increase the sense of patriotism, strengthen citizens' interest in legal knowledge, expand citizens' access to legal information, their active participation in law-making activities, and reduce the level of law violations.
