On October 3, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in the village of Zarkamar of the rural jamoat named after Jura Rahmonov of the city of Tursunzoda, put into operation a refrigeration chamber of the "Hoji Kamol" dekhkan farm.
The refrigeration chamber was built by the head of the "Hoji Kamol" dekhkan farm, Orif Kamolov, on an area of 0.30 hectares, on the basis of instructions and guidance from the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, in the name of a worthy celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
This facility is equipped with modern technology, including refrigerators, and is designed to store 1,000 tons of fruits and vegetables.
The necessary devices and equipment installed to maintain the temperature inside the refrigeration chamber allow to store fruits, vegetables and other agricultural products without deterioration.
The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the "Hoji Kamol" dekhkan farm has 500 hectares of vineyards at its disposal, and the harvested crop is placed in the built refrigeration chamber.
15,000 tons of high-quality grapes were harvested in the "Hoji Kamol" dekhkan farm per year. Farm growers mainly export grapes to the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and other countries. The farm has the ability to store up to 4 thousand tons of grapes in a refrigerated chamber.
The rich experience in growing grapes with a special method is a priority for the winegrowers of this farm, they take timely measures to increase the volume of production and its harvesting.
The new cold store has separate warehouses, each of which can store up to 100 tons of goods and products. At present, 6 varieties of high-quality grapes are grown in the "Hoji Kamol" dekhkan farm in the city of Tursunzoda, which are in demand in the domestic and foreign markets.
The President got acquainted with the conditions and technology of the refrigeration facility and regarded the initiative as important and necessary in the direction of preserving fruits and vegetables, especially grapes, providing the consumer market with fresh, environmentally friendly agricultural products of domestic production at all times of the year.
Currently, 62 refrigeration chambers are operating in the city of Tursunzoda, which store more than 20 thousand tons of fruits and other types of agricultural products. It should be noted that in the future, modern refrigeration facilities will be built in the city of Tursunzoda for harvesting and storing 100 thousand tons of excellent quality grapes. This factor creates an opportunity for harvesting and storage without loss of agricultural products.
