On July 16, in Jombakht rural community of Khovaling district, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, got familiar with the progress of agrotechnical work and the cultivation of vegetables in "Mahmadi" dehkan farm.
"Mahmadi" dehkan farm in Khovaling district has extensive experience in growing and producing vegetables and other types of crops, making a worthy contribution to achieving one of the 4 strategic goals of the country - ensuring food security.
This farm was established in 2017 and has 5.8 hectares of land at its disposal, including 1.8 hectares of irrigated land, where 4 shareholders operate.
The main activity of farmers is vegetable growing.
This year, the farm workers started growing vegetables on one hectare of land on the recommendations of specialists and in compliance with agrotechnical rules. Currently, there is good vegetation of crops in this farm.
Most types of agricultural crops can be seen on household plots, including tomatoes and cucumbers, potatoes and onions, cabbage, beets, pumpkins, beans, corn for grain, as well as brooms and other products.
The use of best practices in the process of growing vegetables and adherence to agricultural planting and cultivation laid the foundation for ensuring an abundance of crops on the plots of this farm.
Last year, farmers harvested 1 ton of onions, 2 tons of potatoes and 1 ton of wheat, and at the same time grew beans, tomatoes and cucumbers, which are stored in conditional boxes.
The cultivation of vegetables and other agricultural products is mainly intended to meet household needs and supplies for the next two years.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, having familiarized himself with the agrotechnical work, planting and growing vegetables in "Mahmadi" dehkan farm, highly appreciated the work of the workers in the direction of maintaining a high land use culture, gave them useful instructions and advice on timely and lossless harvesting.
