On July 16, as part of his working trip to Khovaling district, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, got familiar with the activities of the production cooperative "Abdullo Safolov" and started the grain harvest.
The production cooperative "Abdullo Safolov" is located in Jombakht rural community of the Khovaling district, was established in 1993 and has 22 hectares of land at its disposal. This farm employs 12 shareholders.
In the cooperative, each plot of land is used efficiently and fruitfully, every year the hardworking team gets a good harvest of various agricultural products, including grain.
In the autumn season, farmers planted two varieties of wheat on an area of 13 hectares, including Krasnodar-99 and Peshtoz, and hope to grow an average of 45-55 centners per hectare.
Necessary equipment has been attracted to harvest grain crops without loss and on schedule, and grain harvesting continues on the basis of compliance with fire safety requirements.
During the acquaintance, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that this year, in the production cooperative "Abdullo Safolov", also on the basis of the targeted use of available plots, spring grains were sown on 1 hectare, barley on 1 hectare, onion on 1 hectare, 1 ha - tomatoes, 1 ha - potatoes, on 3 ha a garden is grown and 4 ha - alfalfa for animal feed and seeds.
Every year, farm workers receive a good and plentiful harvest from planting and growing potatoes, based on the recommendations of specialists and the correct selection of high-quality seeds.
The Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, having familiarized himself with the exemplary activities of the production cooperative "Abdullo Safolov", also visited an exhibition of agricultural products of the inhabitants of the Khovaling district.
At the exhibition, farmers of the region presented their products, including cereals, vegetables, fruits, fresh and canned products.
In one corner of the exhibition, foresters of the Khovaling district presented flowers, medicinal herbs and natural honey from this mountainous area of the country. It was reported that the number of bee colonies in the district reached 4,357, this year the beekeepers received more than 25 tons of medicinal and environmentally friendly honey.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the success and efforts of the farmers of the Khovaling district in achieving the strategic goals of the country, especially food security, gave useful recommendations and advice to business executives on the effective use of the natural opportunities of Tajikistan in the context of the fruitful use of arable land in order to further increase agricultural production in conditions of the modern world.
