On July 16, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in order to get familiar with the living conditions of the population, put into operation a number of different facilities, the targeted use of lands of household and field plots, meetings and conversations with residents, arrived in Khovaling district of Khatlon Province.

First, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, visited the tomb of Hazrat Sultan Uvays Karani and prayed for the strengthening of peace and unity, the sustainable development of independent Tajikistan, and the happiness and prosperity of the Tajik people.

The tomb of this famous historical figure is located in a fertile place in Khovaling district with its unique nature, this place is visited daily by domestic and foreign tourists.

It should be noted that there are 2 travel companies, 15 hotels, 4 tourist areas, 2 restaurants, 2 museums, 60 historical monuments, 2 souvenir shops, 3 tombs of prominent clerics, 1 culture and recreation park on the territory of the Khovaling district.

The number of tourists in the first half of 2022 amounted to 15.6 thousand people.

During the visit and familiarization with the possibilities of the tourist zone, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, considered it necessary to further improve the surroundings of the tomb and at the same time observe special national customs and traditions to attract more tourists and guests, and also gave valuable instructions and guidance to responsible persons.
