Telegram of condolences to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida. The telegram says:

"Your Excellency,

The news of the tragic death of the ex-Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Shinzo Abe, deeply saddened us.

The Tajik side strongly condemns this fatal attack.

The deceased, as an outstanding political figure and statesman, gained great prestige on the world stage with his constructive activities and played a prominent role in ensuring a decent life for Japanese society, its progress and development.

Mr. Shinzo Abe made a significant contribution to the development of diverse cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan, and thanks to consistent efforts in this field, his good name will remain in our memory.

I remember fruitful meetings and contacts with the deceased, and we treat his personality with great respect.

In connection with this heavy grief, on my own behalf, the Government and all the people of Tajikistan, I express our sincere condolences to you and all the friendly people of Japan, and I wish spiritual stamina and patience to the families and friends of the deceased.”
