The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part in the opening ceremony of the air traffic control tower of the “Tajik Air Navigation” State Unitary Enterprise (SUE).
The 41.23 meter tower was built as a result of inter-governmental agreement between Tajikistan and France. Its construction work completed within 18 months in accordance with the modern requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Nearly 470 people are involved in ensuring aviation safety, handling takeoff, landing, and ground traffic. Of Tajik Air Navigation’s total number of employees, 94 are women.
Seeking to improve the professional skills, knowledge and experience of its employees, in 2018 the Tajik Air Navigation established the Aviation Training Center and during 2016–2019, purchased industrial equipment and completely renovated its building.
The modern lighting system was installed, flowers and bushes, unique evergreen and ornamental trees were laid out around the territory of Control/Dispatch tower.
After the opening of the control tower, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, got familiar with the level and quality of work carried out here, the management method, Air traffic control and called for workers of the sphere to be responsible in carrying out their professional duties, faithfully and conscientiously serving in the interests of the Motherland and nation.
