Tete-a-tete meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin

Today, at the Palace of the Nation a tete-a-tete meeting took place between the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

At the beginning of the meeting the heads of the two countries, once again congratulating each other on the occasion of the 25th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Russia, reaffirmed their readiness and commitment to continue the dialogue at the highest political level, the further expansion and deepening of bilateral relations.

The next official visit of Vladimir Putin, President of Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan, that took place in the days of celebrating the 25th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries has been called the highest sign of Russian leadership attention to the prospects of good and friendly relations and strategic partnership with Tajikistan.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon with the highest Order of the Russian Federation – the Order of Alexander Nevsky for an outstanding contribution, the constructive efforts and constant steps towards continued expansion and deepening of multifaceted bilateral relations and friendship between the peoples of Tajikistan and Russia.

During the sincere talk it was expressed readiness and interest in further expanding of friendly relations and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Russia in all spheres of mutual interest.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
