Working visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity –Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Sughd Region began in Bobojon Ghafurov district.

President Emomali Rahmon cut the symbolic ribbon and inaugurated cement plant of LLC "Huaxin Ghayur Sugd cement" at the rural community of Chashmasor of Bobojon Ghafurov district.

The head of state was informed that the construction of the plant started in 2014 by the national company of "Ghayur cement".  Ghayur-Sughdcement - with a production capacity of 1Mt/year - was built on a 48-hectare site. The plant was built by the Ghayur cement company together with a Chinese partner, Huaxin Central Asia Investment. The cost of the project is over 1 billion somoni. The plant has employed 1300 people and their average salaries range from 1,500 to 12,000 somoni.

The cement plant produces cement type of 400, 500 and 600, which meet international standards and are well-known and competitive in the European market.
