A governmental commission has been created this morning following the consequences of the earthquake in Badakhshan Region under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Azim Ibrohim.
The structure of the commission included the first heads of the ministries of transport, health and social protection, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, Agency for State Material Reserves, other ministries and departments.
According to the available information, following result of the earthquake on December 7 have been injured dozens of people and more than 500 homes damaged. Unfortunately, there are casualties.
It should be noted that as a result of the earthquake has suffered the largest part of Bartang Valley of Rushan District.
President Emomali Rahmon has instructed the commission, the chairman of the Badakhshan region, heads of other ministries and agencies as soon as possible to provide homeless residents with temporary shelter, warm clothing, food and other necessary conditions and to take urgent measures to address the effects of an earthquake.
