President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram of condolences to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, which reads, inter alia:

"Your Excellency,

We are deeply saddened by the news of the earthquake in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan which caused the deaths of hundreds and injured more than two thousand citizens, leading to considerable material damage.

Expressing deep condolences on my own behalf, on behalf of the Government and the people of Tajikistan to the friendly people of Pakistan, I pray to the Almighty for patience of relatives of the victims and full recovery to the injured. "
