“Vahdat” power substation inaugurated in Khujand

President of the country Emomali Rahmon, today, in continuation of his working visit to Sughd Region, commissioned "Vahdat" power substation in Khujand.

During familiarization with the object, the President of the country was informed that the "Vahdat" power substation is a new large energy facility since independence in Khujand.

It was emphasized that the new substation has been built on a total of 4.5 mln Euro under financial support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and investment banks, and the three European donors, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Investment Development Bank and the Economic Commission for Europe.

In addition, for the construction of the substation, installation of meters and the improvement of electric networks of Khujand city from all sources of funding will be allocated 22 million Euros.

Power substation 110/10 kW "Vahdat" was built with two transformers with capacity of 16 MW each in the framework of the project "Reduction of power losses in the Sughd region."
