In a solemn ceremony today in the center of Ayni district President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened the building of the Palace of Culture.
The Palace of Culture based on the former cinema was built in the 80s and was in disrepair.
Refurbishment works at the facility have been launched by the Office of Capital Construction of the local executive body of the Sughd region in 2014, and the total amount of the project is 5.9 million somoni.
The facility consists of a main hall with 400 seats, auxiliary facilities for the workers of culture, special museum on the second floor of the hall, computer room, classrooms for dance classes, studying folk crafts, a study for the regional department of culture.
Palace of Culture is decorated with national architectural art, building facade is decorated with 6 columns and doors are decorated with carvings. At the entrance to the Palace of Culture are two fountains, trees, undeveloped surrounding area, decorative flowers, greenery and lighting.
During familiarization with the conditions of the new Culture Palace building President Emomali Rahmon praised the quality of the architects work, builders and skilled craftsmen, and thanked them.
After the opening of the Palace of Culture also President Emomali Rahmon held a fruitful meeting with the activists and residents of Ayni district.
